Zesty Matcha Iced Tea

Zesty Matcha Iced Tea
So easy to make look so damn good. Citrus, mint and Matcha are a match made in heaven. We like to make it even better with pomegranate seeds, what about you?
Prep Time 5 mins
Things you’ll need for one serving:
Ingredients:
  • ½ tsp of Thea Matcha
  • 250ml cold water or to your liking
  • Some ice cubes
  • Squeeze of Lime and/or Lemon
  • Slices of Lime and/or Lemon to garnish
  • Fresh Mint leaves
  • Optional : Seasonal fruit to flavour and garnish (Thea favourites: strawberries and pomegranate)
Gadgets:
  • Glass
  • Knife and cutting board for fruit
  • Whisk / frother  - we recommend the Thea frother or alternatively a small whisk will do
  • Measuring spoon
Step 1: Grab a glass, put the Matcha and around 80mls of water together whisking until all the matcha and water is combined and you get a beautiful frothy layer. ( See what we use to whisk here -*link to step by step page)
Step 2: Add your ice cubes and pour the remaining water, add a squeeze of lime or lemon
Step 3: Garnish with mint and add some of your favourite fruits, frozen or fresh and enjoy!
Thea tips

  •  Make sure the glass is big enough for your whisk, a shorter and wider glass is the easiest pick.
  • Pour the rest of your water in on an angle to ensure the  frothy layer stays in tact – you may need to skip the ice if you want a really good layer #igworthy
  • Fave combos – lemon and pomegranate and lime and strawberries – make sure you have the mint
  • To make a batch to fit a jug – use around 2-3 Tbsp. of Matcha with 1lt of water but of course add more or less to fit your taste! A little alcohol never hurt no one … we like vodka.
  • Feel free to make yourself a Matcha shot as well :P
